Sad to say that the family visit is almost over. I Sad to say that the family visit is almost over. I’m leaving behind a few pieces that my mom will bisque and glaze. She has an old wheel that has a continuous speed. Stopping the wheel means bringing the speed down to zero with the pedal or lever. If it is depressed past zero it starts reversing the rotation! It took a bit to get used to it 😅

The almonds will be ready later in the Summer. The texture, the color, they give so much character! Maybe that’s what getting old is like 😁

Enjoying an early morning snack of brousse cheese Enjoying an early morning snack of brousse cheese with local strawberries, biscottes with mom’s homemade reine claude prune jam, and black coffee. The sun is warm, birds are singing their little hearts out. It’s good to be home for a little while and take the time to smell the roses. #lifeisgood #lifeintheslowlane ☺️
I recently started playing with matte crystalline I recently started playing with matte crystalline glazes before heading out to France to see the family. The rocks are covered in lichen here and I couldn’t help but think of this last batch of glaze tests 🤣 I couldn’t possibly call it a lichen glaze now could I ?!! 😁
